My pain management clinic scheduled me to have one in two weeks for my severe low back pain that radiates into my right leg. Can anyone tell me what to expect from it? Do they help? Is it painful? I had a cortisone injection by my ribs for nerve pain months ago and that didn’t help, so I was wondering if this is different cause my back pain is getting excrutiating.

I am obese, and since January I began dieting and exercising by walking on the treadmill. However, for the last 3-4 weeks I have had the flu, and have not been walking on the treadmill. This is why I don’t understand why I have pain on the backs of my ankles. It’s in the meaty part above the ankle but below the calf. The painis in about 1 inch across the back of BOTH and it’s painful to touch but not when I am walking. I don’t understand how the pain could be caused by my obesity since I have actually lost 15 lbs since January, and since the pain didn’t exist until now, and I haven’t been walking for a month. I don’t understand! Any ideas? And should I be going on the treadmill now?

My husband has signifigant back pain caused from a car accident three years ago, he also only wear boots. He has never owned a pair of tennis shoes or crocs, but I am wondering if Santa bringing him a new type of shoe might help alleviate some of this back pain. He has high arches if that matters… Can anyone suggest a specific shoe or type of shoe that would help him a bit? I am prepared to spend $50-$75 at the most… Thanks!

A massage sounds promising, but I have so many doubts… how do they do a massage when you can’t lay on your stomach? Has anyone had a massage late in the third trimester, and did it help?
